Children’s Football coaching academy, Kixx Huddersfield, only opened in the town during April 2018, and in just over 12 months, the academy already sees over 200 children attending their sessions, every week.
Parents will probably know the popular football academy as ‘Mini Kicks’ having just rebranded to ‘Kixx’ this year following a rapid expansion in not only Huddersfield, but across 50 different towns and cities across country.
Kixx Huddersfield owner and Head Coach, Matthew Ellison, dedicated the quick success down to the ‘unique coaching methods’ and ‘shared company values’. “I was originally interested in joining the coaching network at Kixx in Doncaster, but after a few conversations with the Kixx founder, Ben Hunter, I was presented with an even bigger opportunity to help children, coach football and become a business owner as part of a franchise. It was quite the turnaround and it has been an incredibly rewarding decision.” “Every week we dedicate ourselves to delivering an incredible experience for each child who attends, and we have children from just 2 years old. So this means our coaching has to be very creative in order for them to learn, have fun and remain engaged throughout.” “We are already looking to open up more academy sessions in Huddersfield throughout 2019 and in to 2020 so we can allow more children to join and experience Kixx. Huddersfield is a great town and i’m glad Kixx Huddersfield is keeping so many kids active in the area. I would like to thank all the parents and members who started when we were Mini Kicks. We have evolved, our visual identity may have changed but our values, our team and quality of coaching have not.” Kixx Huddersfield has venues in the following areas with more opening in 2020:
Almondbury, Bradley, Denby Dale, Holmfirth and Waterloo.
