No matter how many times dear Deputy sees the paper coming out of the printer, he remains fascinated. He simply needs to hear the sound of the printer whirring and, no matter where he is, he'll come running into the office, take a seat, and watch the paper like a movie on TV.
Why do you think he is so fascinated by this??? Please visit our animal shelter in Bethesda Tel: 268-461-4957 | Email: email@example.com

We're a small organization with a big job! With all that is involved in operating an animal shelter and donkey sanctuary day-to-day - general animal care and health maintenance, feeding, watering, cleaning up after the animals and cleaning the facilities, welcoming visitors, managing the adoption process and so on - we are grateful for any assistance that volunteers are able to provide. Thank you to Linda and Phebe Salmon for taking time out of their day to help us in the cattery! Your help was more invaluable than you know.

Train your children from their earliest days to be infinitely tender and loving to animals. If an animal be sick, let the children try to heal it. If it be hungry, let them feed it. If thirsty, let them quench its thirst. If weary, let them see that it rests. —`Abdu’l-Bahá
Teaching compassion for animals can help children develop empathy for all living things, including their fellow human beings. Encouraging respect for animal habitats is an important part of teaching children about protecting the environment. These are some of the basic things that children will learn with the Antigua & Barbuda Humane Society's Education Outreach Program; as well as having an opportunity to pet and play with the animals, which they love doing the most. Please contact us for your group/school/camp/organization tour of the facilities, which includes our dog and cat animal shelter and Antigua's Donkey Sanctuary. Tours are free of cost. Children and adult T-shirts as well as books may be purchased from our gift shop.

The Antigua & Barbuda Humane Society's Education Outreach Program continues throughout the summer holidays. We spent a lovely few hours with these young campers from the Milestone Academy Summer Camp program. The children visited the cattery and had a chance to play with our furry friends and learn a little about how they interact with each other. They also spent time with our dogs who were very excited to have visitors. The donkeys at the donkey sanctuary are always very welcoming and the children loved hearing tales about how the sanctuary became their permanent home and petting their tails.
Thank you to the Milestone Academy Summer Camp for taking this opportunity to give the youngsters a teachable moment.
