Mid-week Mantra: Don’t wait for opportunity. Create it!
A lot of people will wait for an opportunity to arise, or a new week to begin, or a new year, or a new job, or a new partner, or a new city, or a new adventure. I truly truly truly believe that this will hinder any chance of success.
Entrepreneurs that we look up to and qualify as “having it all” didn’t get there from sitting and waiting. If you want something bad enough, you have to move mountains and make it happen!
What are you doing this week to move mountains and create those opportunities for yourself?!
The test of a true yogi is having the ability to be fully present.... .
As Im counting down the days to delivery, I find myself growing anxious & missing out on the things happening around me... I ask myself why am I stressing about something that's yet to come??? (Due March 5th!)
The challenge is applying what I've learnt on the mat into daily life. Searching for a new center of gravity, a new way to stand....
Wednesday Mantra: Be mindful of all that we're doing, even something as trivial as breathing or brushing our teeth! Be a witness... This will help boost awareness of how we react to whats happening in our minds. Being present melts away anxiety & really lets us appreciate the moment!
Happy hump day!
A good reminder when we feel like things aren’t going the way we want or expect, or we feel like we’ve been the victim of consistent bad luck...remember that everything that is happening “to” us is actually happening “for” us - to teach us a lesson, to bring us closer what we actually need, maybe bring us away from what we don’t (even if we can’t see it for ourselves in the moment). A good reminder to #trust in the bigger picture, trust in God, the universe, or whatever you believe. And that those powers are always conspiring on our behalf. #humpdaymantra#supersoulsunday
GETTING OVER THE HUMP I've been feeling a little sluggish recently. I'm into my third trimester and spent most of yesterday lying horizontal eating mince pies - true story! So I got my arse into the gym and got a sweat on. I wanted to burn off some of the food I had eaten the day before but also get my blood pumping. As my baby grows so does the rest of my body and I'm starting to experience pins and needles which is quite common when there's less space for fluid and blood to flow. My lungs are cramped so I'm constantly out of breath, my feet swollen and my tummy feels increasingly stretched at the moment. So I got moving, opened up my lungs, stretched out by body and got some extra oxygen and endorphins pumping through my veins. ♀️
Whilst at the gym I was approached by a woman who suggested I shouldn't be exercising so heavily pregnant and that it was not safe for the baby. This of course is nonsense but I respected her concerns and explained I have been active for years and I was only pushing myself within my capabilities. I sound like a broken record but it's so important to listen to your body. If you feel you need to move around, you want to go for a run, you want to eat a pack of mince pies, you're super thirsty and could down a pint of water - do it!! Connect with your body and ask it what it needs - it will tell you!! Forget your thoughts, preconceptions of what you should and shouldn't do and FEEL. Trust me, it works and when you give your body what it's asking for you will feel AMAZING!
HAPPY HUMP DAY!
