If you only knew the amount of hours it takes a human being to hang a garland, clean their house, wait for mediocre light, find the right hooks to hang the stockings, finding the stockings in the first place, the failed attempts at making oranges, the foraging for greenery and the list probably goes on. .
Honestly, I look at other people’s photos of their “perfect homes”, and it doesn’t make me feel bad (okay sometimes I feel a little pressure but that’s on me!), I look at it and think, way to go sis! You did a lot of freakin work, and the stars aligned for you to take this beautiful photo. I look at pretty feeds and all I see is hard work and dedication. Pictured behind me was a stack of bins and boxes and heaping piles of my stuff that has been haunting me for weeks. I have been hustlin to get this photo for two weeks, and it might just look like another photo on your feed but today I’m giving myself, along with all of the other Instagrammers workin for the shot, a pat on the back cause I kind of felt like a crazy lady this week trying to complete this simple project 👀
And now to complete the window garland and my exterior! 😆
