Brand new Dallas apartments saved from flooding!
Well I just happened to be in the right place at the right time again.
My daughter's brand new apartment buildings bottom floor was taking on water in the Halls and 4 or 5 dwellings.
The parking garage was flooding and maintenance was busy battling that flood.
I was just walking the dog and saw all this.
I realized if the main drains in the front were stopped up nothing would drain. I grabbed a scraper made it into a hoe and jumped in and gotter done.
Amazingly I didn't trash a single phone nor did I total any trucks or jet skis in this rescue.
There majority of the first floor would certainly have had flood damage by unclogging the main drains only two apts had major damage and four with moderate damage.
#StateFarm still hasn't payed me for my truck and jet ski that got totalled helping rescue in #Houston during #HurricaneHarvey

Regrann from @freedom_faction - A company called #TributeContracting LLC, which is owned by fashionista Dr. Tiffany Brown received a $156 million contract from the #FederalEmergencyManagementAgency (#FEMA) to deliver 30 million meals to #PuertoRico in the aftermath of #HurricaneMaria, but she only delivered 50,000.

According to her website, Brown's company, a minority-owned government consulting firm, has had three FEMA Contracts worth millions of dollars.

In addition to her LLC and being an author, she also owns the following: • Tiffany Brown Designs- women’s clothing line
• Tiffany Brown Holdings Inc.- Consulting firm that has five divisions: entertainment, vending, radio, food, nonprofit management and book publishing
• Luxe Fuel- A beverage delivery software app
She obviously has no problem in taking in money and finding ways to make it.

However, she took on a contract worth millions in #taxpayerdollars and failed to deliver.

The New York Times has the story:

The mission for the Federal Emergency Management Agency was clear: Hurricane Maria had torn through Puerto Rico, and hungry people needed food. Thirty million meals needed to be delivered as soon as possible.

For this huge task, FEMA tapped Tiffany Brown, an #Atlanta entrepreneur with no experience in large-scale disaster relief and at least five canceled government contracts in her past. FEMA awarded her $156 million for the job, and Ms. Brown, who is the sole owner and employee of her company, Tribute Contracting LLC, set out to find some help.

Ms. Brown, who is adept at navigating the federal contracting system, hired a wedding caterer in Atlanta with a staff of 11 to freeze-dry wild mushrooms and rice, chicken and rice, and vegetable soup. She found a nonprofit in #Texas that had shipped food aid overseas and domestically, including to a #Houston food bank after #HurricaneHarvey.

By the time 18.5 million meals were due, Tribute had delivered only 50,000. And FEMA inspectors discovered a problem: The food had been packaged separately from the pouches used to heat them. FEMA’s solicitation required “self-heating meals.” 🖐🏾More in comments👇🏾 | follow @the_truth_hunters - #regrann

To say we’ve been blessed in the life with a job that fills our hearts more than money ever could is an understatement. For a living, we get to CHANGE LIVES.🙌🏼 And for five incredible years, we were blessed to work with the most HOPELESS of individuals...helping them learn to love themselves and accomplish the unthinkable on Extreme Weight Loss.
After five life-changing seasons (for them AND us) of successful transformations, it was quite heartbreaking to get a call from the network notifying us that our show had been cancelled, and this chapter was ending. In a world littered with television negativity and drama (that doesn’t contribute to a better life), how could something so beautiful, so pure, and so positive be taken off air? 😔
We asked ourselves this question repeatedly as we mourned the loss. Because it truly felt like a death to us. 💔
I wrote a little on how we got through this tough time on the blog (link in bio)...but tonight, I thank my lucky stars and God above for the new opportunities we have to continue changing lives. Our seasons of EWL might’ve officially come to an end, but the most important season of our lives is still among us...and no network executive can ever take this opportunity away. Not a single person in the world can cancel THIS show, or stop us from spreading THESE messages of transformation.
I know this is our purpose on earth, and for as long as we live, we will continue giving all we’ve got toward changing lives. And not just 15 a year anymore....NO, we are changing hundreds of thousands at a time, and couldn’t be more thrilled to finally share their stories with you.🤗
Meet Mary. A Hurricane Harvey survivor that lost EVERYTHING in the flood, but didn’t let it stop her from transforming her life. We were so impressed by her fight that Chris and I surprised her in her hometown to capture her heartwarming story and give her the love she deserves. Link to FULL video in bio...WARNING, grab a Kleenex.💛

#tbt About 2 or 3 days after Hurricane Harvey hit. At the family condo in Rockport, TX. One of the only items that remained unharmed was the bottle of vodka I kept in the fridge. I decided to get a picture in the middle of one of the bedrooms. In its own way, that vodka represents the survival of the human spirit. 🤗 P.S. I put a note on the vodka telling the first responders to help themselves. I’m not a monster, you know. 😊 #hurricaneharvey #rockporttx
