What makes our scripts different? .
Traditionally, across both time and culture, wisdom, hard won through inter-generational experience, has been passed onto the following generations by way of stories – myths, legends and fairy tales. This type of education has all but disappeared in the modern world, yet traces remain from which we can still learn and utilise the power and efficacy of such methods. .
The original versions of ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’, ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’, and ‘Beauty and the Beast’, as examples, all carry ethical, experiential advice wrapped up in the tale in such a way that whilst the conscious mind is entranced by the unfolding narrative, the deeper mind sees and learns the significance of the unfolding deeper, more meaningful aspects of the story. And, since these are narratives that have an beginning, a middle and an end, recognisable and memorable characters, and a story line that usually has a twist, they stick in the mind and can be passed on to the coming generations with ease. .
It is for these reasons that Single Eye scripts follow the story telling method. And, since the story lines in our hypnotherapy scripts are memorable, other hypnotherapists can utilise them successfully and with ease. After having read the scripts a few times any hypnotherapist can deliver our scripts without having to read them from the text (either paper or screen) which allows for them to be tailored to the client’s specific requests and needs and for the therapist to monitor the client fully during the session. .
