One of my favorite things to do in the Army is getting to promote Soldiers deserving of that next higher rank. This week we promoted one of my guys to Corporal. Much like being a 1SG, the lateral promotion from Specialist to Corporal should not be taken lightly. You make the same amount of money as a peer of the same grade in a position of less responsibility, but you are expected to perform at a level higher than that of those peers. Congrats brother, keep moving up. Become the standard you wish to see in others.

Thankful Thursday: today

I spend a lot of time feeling guilty that I have so much “work” to do while my kids are around and a lot of moments sad that they are growing so fast , but I spend a lot of time worrying that I’m not doing my best in business because I step away for my kids. It’s an endless balancing act of guilt.

But all I ever knew I wanted for my life was to be a mom, and from the moment my son was born I have been able to have the gift of staying home and raising my children. I am so thankful my husband has carried our family and allowed me to do this. I can’t imagine doing it differently. This is my last week with the kids before they are both in school and honestly my eyes got a little glossy just typing that. It’s going to be a big adjustment, but my goal was to build up enough business by time they went that I would not have to go work for someone else. So you see, I created the crazy I have lived in for the last year and today I will be thankful for that. I will be so glad that I have new responsibilities and ways to contribute to our family that might help make this a little bit easier. 💙

Yesterday I was told I was “Too skinny”. They all seem to forget that at my most shredded i was at 128lbs. At 144 I’m still a ways from that. But what matters is how I feel. I am not in it for money or fame. I am here simply to give you a glimpse of my personal fitness journey and a look at my personal life. Country living - country style breakfast on this rainy Friday morning — & of course my greens + micro factor!
1. Whole wheat bread + cinnamon + egg + fat free milk + vanilla.
2. Sugar free maple syrup.
3. Turkey sausage.
4. Leftover potatoes 🥔!
Greens & micro factor are essential. Ever since I became consistent with both of these products — I have noticed a drastic difference.

Hiii 👋🏼 I’m back from England! It took about 2.5 days for me to be jet lag free (and 5 days to post workouts 🤪)! I did so much walking! I also ate so good bc fresh croissants and delish porridge with honey for breakfast was 💣 #sorrynotsorry I had such an amazing time with my family! Missing everyone but my nephew has my ❤️😭

During my 9 day vacation:
✖️I hit the hotel gym twice.. and I’m okay with that!
✖️ I did 20-min @alexia_clark exercises with resistance bands in the room mostly every other night #fitnessandtravel ============================
✖️Scale says I gained about 5-6 lbs which I’m assuming is due mostly due to water retention.
✖️I’ve already dropped 4 lbs so a 1-2 lb weight gain is not bad #iam1stphorm #1stphorm #legionofboom ============================
First workout this week was on Wednesday @otfgarwood with coach @mytrainereli 💪🏼 I got called out for putting the weight down during thrusters 🙈 Body was 🔥 Second workout was last night with coach @faithfullyfitfam That template was no joke! Tread block def felt like endurance! I speed-walked a total of 2.4 miles! Challenged myself with good weights, 200m rowing time was 👌🏽, and was able to complete an additional 2 rounds of everything (including rows) at 8 reps! Swipe 🔙 for summaries. I included results from Coach @apoyssick’s 8/3/18 6:30am class where my pod sucked the entire time but the 🔥 and 💦 were insane!

Sometimes I hate social media

It’s so easy to post on here cute pictures and inspirational quotes about my journey and pretend my journey has been sunshine and rainbows and that I workout every day and eat clean 100% of the time.

But the truth is I don’t.
-
-
In fact, yesterday I binged. I binged hard. -
-
I don’t suffer from an eating disorder. But yesterday I started my time of the month, I was sleep deprived, and honestly I was surrounded by a lot of good food at work.
-
-
I ate more sweets than I want to admit to. I did not drink hardly any water. I even went to the gym before work and I half assed the entire workout so I guess I can admit to my day being a train wreck.
-
-
I wanted to make myself run around my neighborhood until I burned 1,000 calories. I wanted to go in the bathroom and make myself throw up all the food I had eaten. I wanted to starve myself until tomorrow at lunch. Yes, I know that sounds extreme but that is truly my thought process on days like yesterday.

But the truth is, none of that will make me feel any better. None of that is going to help me as a person to continue along my journey no matter how hard I am on myself and I truly do know that. Even though I have been doing this for almost a year, I still have days when I fall off track.

What matters is how I get back ON track.

Instead of torturing and punishing yourself, accept that what you did was wrong and stop it right then. Do not continue binging. -
-
Instead get back on track immediately. Do not make yourself starve. Do not purge. Get a healthy meal in your system. Drink some water. Go to the gym tomorrow and work on yourself.

-
Success is not always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it’s falling face front on the ground and having to pick yourself back up and brush yourself off.
-

Take care of yourself. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Love yourself enough to admit your wrongs and get back on the path of success. 💕

I’ve gotten so good at this healthy pizza thing, I bet ya I could take whatever your favorite pizza is and turn it into something that is actually good for you. So since my favorite is PINEAPPLE, that’s 100% going to be my next pizza adventure. For now, I’ll be posted up consuming this whole thing tonight with 0 guilt. 😉
