18 hours in Iceland is not enough but I tried to make the most of it. I flew into Reykjavík at 3:00 am and was met with a vivid sunrise. I checked into @kexhostel and immediately went for a sunrise walk to visit the famous church and to take in the chilly crisp air. It was the most pleasant cold I’ve ever felt. I slept and was taken to a hot spring river by the best guide and soaking in it was all the yes. The landscape was so foreign and so meditative. It was the first place I’ve been to that made me understand how someone could be homesick. If I was from Iceland I would forever hunger for that angle of sun, that perfect chill, and the sounds of the arctic winds wrapping it’s self on everything I’ll be back!
