We are all pretty used to seeing windmills from Greece on this platform. And while these windmills are also from 🇬🇷, they might look a bit different. That’s because I spent the first half of my trip in the Dodecanese region in Rhodes and Karpathos.
12 of the 164 inhabited Greek islands are in the Dodecanese region which is pretty far South if you look at a map. Mykonos and Santorini are part of the Cyclades islands which is characterized by the traditional whitewashed buildings and blue domes that we all love so much.
I headed to the Cyclades regions next, so you’ll see all those perfectly instagrammable white buildings. But, isn’t it kind of refreshing to see a different side of Greece?! 📷: @ceturner88
