Uraman, or Hawraman like the locals say, was my second station in Kurdistan province. It's famous for its blue and green windows. Uraman is a mountain village. Usually if you leave your house, you're standing on the roof of another house. What would your neighbour say, if you would walk on his roof? 😅
At some places I saw carpets lying on the ground and people walked over it. Usually carpets are holy in Iran and you're never allowed to walk with shoes on it 😅 But these were old carpets and I think they put them on the floor to mute the steps 😀 .
The village is located very close, less than 10km, to the Iraq border and is famous for smuggling. I walked around the village for some hours and could find a young guy who had smuggled already some things 😅 They smuggle things like shoes or other things for daily business.
A very famous food in this region is Kalaneh. It's a bread with herbs inside. Unfortunately I came too late and no restaurant had it anymore. Because it's a village, everything finishes earlier than in a city. So be prepared, if you go there 😀
In the last picture you can see @sabahdehghanii15 s ecolodge, where I stayed.
