This was an incredible reward for retuning to the little peak on a clearer day. Just enough rain and the sun at an angle to cast the most vivid rainbow I've ever seen. It's not as bright as it first appeared as I was not yet at the top of the hill when I first spotted it.
I'd turned a corner out of the woods and saw a rainbow so strong it repeated its spectrum again, but in smaller streaks. It also had a super bright secondary bow (double rainbow) that curved over it like an older sibling.
I was so struck by its beauty I gasped, temporarily freaking out a dog walker who then thanked me for getting his nose out of his phone. Then as I turned to head to the top of the hill he exclaimed "run, the pot of gold is at the top!" which legit made me run faster.
