It’s ok to feel lost. Too many of us, especially the ones graduating college/school/university, feel a sense of loss and dissatisfaction with where we’re at. We’ve been babysat our whole lives in a system where grades determine our success and failures, we were told to get good grades to get into a good school to get a good job, without even knowing if we would like that job. And then we get thrown into the real world, where none of that really matters. Some of us fall into jobs that we tolerate, but that we don’t really enjoy doing, and we live our 9-to-5 just eagerly waiting for the weekend. Is this really it? Did I really work 24 years of my life to get here?
But guess what, it’s ok to feel lost. We’re going to live another 80 years, this is just the beginning. Don’t feel like you can’t steer away from the path you’re currently on because of what studies you’ve done or what you told your peers/parents you were going to do. It’s ok to try something entirely new, experiment, if you’re not content with your current situation. Don’t be afraid to go a different route.
