This past year, I did far more
C R E A T I N G with our house remodel than I did with quilting. (I hope you’re not getting tired of seeing it on my IG stories.) I made, and gifted, exactly three quilts, with this being one of them. This week my husband and I were talking, and I was expressing to him that I have this N E E D inside of me to create, and it is currently expressing itself through our house projects. Being over the house projects himself(!) he gently reminded me that I also find that satisfaction in quilting. I literally started laughing! It was so fun to hear my husband % on board with quilting (and the fabric purchasing it involves) and even encouraging me in it. All of a sudden I realized the key: give him a long list of house projects and very soon quilting sounds far better, cause it doesn’t involve constant jobs for him. . Anyone else experienced that? Looking forward to this next year, I am excited to finish up these house projects we’re doing and enjoy the fruit of our hard work, but to also have more time to sew, and to help my kids do things they’re interested in, too. Don’t you just love the start of a new year? .
