We spend a ton of time attached to our phones. working, scrolling, clicking, browsing. being amused or distracted from the task at hand. This includes me too. Been trying to find ways to ween myself off this bad boy, esp. certain apps b/c they’re just time-suckers for sure.
One of the biggest things has been getting back to reading books, which was my trusted form of escapism for years + a way to help my mind be still. Granted, they’re ebooks but they do enough to hold my attn for sustained periods. To keep me from checking emails, DMs, etc etc. That said, it’s still a process. Would love to hear the ways others find ways to relax or at least be entertaining w/o using apps, social networks + the like
