Happy and healthy little Saturday. ACV and lemon water. Yoga. Breakfast. Made a to-do list for the weekend and assigned items as Sat or Sun. Showered. Laundry prep. When I first saw today's challenge posted i knew it would be no bueno for me to try to at this cold. So I used @jenni_rawlings shoulder focused practice part 2 as my warm up. Def a great idea. Such a difference in feeling of first down dog in that practice to this video.

This is actually my 4th def of 5 because every time I looked at the video either I wasnt keeping my back straight or more so my shoulders and chest kept dipping. So this was def my best set. .
The backs of my shoulders were on fire after this !!!!

Today I choose to be grateful for a busy day in the kitchen as I prepare for my last workshop of the season. {Don’t worry- they will come back in the Fall✨}It’s a bittersweet feeling as my workshops give me so much life. However, I have a lot of projects and programs that need my attention this summer, so I am choosing to realign my focus in an effort to help and coach more people. As I am surrounded by a mess of dishes, recipes, produce, and everything else possible - I choose to take a moment to be grateful for this rainy day, for the people who are filling the space tomorrow, and for everyone who is helping me bring my vision to life. Successful Saturday!?! I think so. 👍🏻 to our homemade hummus. My boyfriend and I were craving hummus and we just so happened to have a can of chickpeas in the cabinet. So we started experimenting with different tastes, flavors, herbs, and spices. This one was an absolute success. Chickpeas, lemon, paprika, cumin, olive oil, a dash of salt, and garlic. 1.- GRASAS: Toda mi vida he sentido cierto rechazo por las grasas sintiendo siempre que son malas y me harán engordar, así que he decidido darles una oportunidad... todo el mundo merece una al menos no? Aparte he estado aprendiendo mucho sobre bio-individualidad y como se haya el camino correcto y sostenible si no es con ensayo y error?
2.- ANTI-CANCER: Hace unas semanas tuve una experiencia abrumadora haciéndome una mamografía (mi primera) y luego de re-estudiarme encontraron unas “calcificaciones de aspecto benigno”, eso hizo que realmente evaluara mis alternativas y si bien no parecen malignas siento que con esta dieta puedo realmente eliminar cualquier inicio de células cancerosas que se encuentren en mi cuerpo.
3.- PESO: desde que comencé el curso he aprendido mucho y he bajado de peso poco de manera sostenida, sin embargo puedo prescindir de unos cuantos kilos menos y ciertamente es una dieta que promete eso. -

In going through my Grandma’s old books last night, I found these gems! 💎General health recommendations for good lifestyle, diet, eating organic local food, taking care of your whole wellbeing from emotional health to exercise, and links to foods and chronic disease and mood have been around and stayed consistent for many years. These books were copyrighted in the 1970s and 1980s and are the same concepts I’m studying in my health coaching classes now! My grandma (aka Mama) was on to something... and she lived to be just one week shy of 100 years old!!! I got up this morning and walked to my brothers house and picked up my best four legged bud and went for a beautiful walk around the neighborhood. Everyone who walked pass smiled back and said hello. The sky a perfect shade of blue. The trees with no leaves still beautiful and strong waiting for the rain and sun to help them bloom. The sun kissing my skin and shining so bright. Everything was so beautiful. I took it all in. Examined all the beauty in every second that I could see smell and feel. No worries just me and earth. Time passing so slow. Here are a few photos I stopped to take to share my walk with you. No filters at all. Wake up today step outside and think of nothing but the beauty and love of all existence around you including yourself. You can do it. 🌞

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, something comes along and shakes it up. 🍌🍌🍌 You know what's really bananas? The fact that bananas are actually berries. Here's another: all I did to enjoy a totally different banana bread was add blueberries and pecans for some serious baking magic. What day do you prefer to do your grocery shopping?

I choose Fridays now so I can enjoy the weekend with one less task. I prep foods so they are ready to eat for 2-3 days and then repeat.
Wanna add 4-6 hours back in your week?

1. Plan your recipes and create a grocery list.
2. Wash produce when you get home with groceries and precut some veggies.
3. Prep meats, veggies, etc per recipe to make meals for 2-3 days.
