It takes an average of 3 years and 5 doctors to get a proper diagnosis of an autoimmune disease. Just wish more people understood what an autoimmune disease is. It is not a cold or the flu, you will never get better, and even a nap will not help. Please, in honor of someone who is fighting Celiac, CIDP, Crohn’s, Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Hashimoto Disease, Hepatitis, Hypothyroidism, IBD, Lupus, MS, PBC, Sarcoidosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, SOD, or Ulcerative Colitis, show them some love and support.
This is my life. Took 10 years of increasing pain and odd things happening to my body to get real help, but only after six months straight of pushing aggressively for more and more tests. I now see five specialists regularly because one autoimmune disease bleeds into another. My first autoimmune immune diagnosis was when I was 16. I, along with my Childhood GP, had no idea what was to come years later. The worst diagnosis was August of 2014. Everything has changed and snowballed since. My quality of life is now lessened; my life expectancy shortened. My dreams forever altered. My Faith sustains me, but I still have to make a daily choice to fight and survive. 💜💙 #autoimmuneawareness #dontgiveup #invisibleillnessawareness #keepfighting #keepthefaith #perservere #survivor #warrior
