"The straight line belongs to men, the curved one to God" - Antoni Gaudi
We were super excited for Casa Batlló because of our love for art, design & architecture, and also Gaudi's wild designs. Also known as the 'House of Bones', it's like something out of a fantasy!
Gaudí had a thing for curved lines and avoided straight lines as much as possible. This design is particularly out there. We're talkin' irregularly shaped oval windows, bone-like pillars and balconies that look like skulls. The roof is shaped like the arched back of a dragon and covered with hundreds of tiles to make it look like scales.
If you're into amazingly wacky design & architecture like us, you're gonna love seeing this! Tickets to get in are about €20 but we thought it was worth every bit cause it was like nothing we'd ever seen!
What do you think of Gaudi's designs?
