We’ve got some habits you can start to implement right away to better your nutrition.
1.Track your food intake
The more you can measure your actions, the easier it is to identify patterns of behaviour that are holding you back. Which is why at Body Revival we believe tracking your food is golden.
You can easily do this by downloading the myfitnesspal app onto your phone. This app will allow you to track your eating habits, macronutrients, and it will alert you if you're going under or over your calorie intake goal.
2. Drink your water
This advice may sound like a broken record, but it's amazing how so many people just neglect to drink their daily recommended intake of water. Studies have shown that 1% dehydration can significantly affect the nervous system and it's ability regulate important processes in the body.
If you want to truly practice healthy habits, then without fail you have to stay hydrated and drink your water.
3. Diets F$%#ing Suck!
If the last two tips were about habits to add in, then this is a habit to drop....Stop dieting! What we mean is to stop adopting a mindset of restriction towards nutrition and start being more flexible with your eating.
Good nutrition habits include the following:
-They should be flexible. Enjoy food and don't make it boring. Try different recipes, eat all different types of food and occasionally throw in some foods you crave (but obviously don't go crazy on them). -They should be non-restrictable. Get all your macronutrients in. Protein, Carbs, and good Fats, it should all be included. -Your eating habits need to be sustainable. Ask yourself about your current diet "is this diet sustainable long-term for me?".
