✨ What makes you happy ✨
We spend far too much of our lives worrying we have pleased everyone else in our lives. Whether that’s work, family, friends etc. At what point do we put ourselves first for a change? When do we do those small things that make us happy?
For so long I was a workaholic and had a need to make sure I pleased everyone. Instead of this being of any benefit to me it actually broke me. I was at an unhealthy weight and I was unhappy with myself. I was run down and struggled to find the energy to do anything. It was at this point I realised I needed to do what made me happy and what made me feel good. I started working out and feeling less stressed, I started making sure I was home at reasonable times and that I would treat myself to a beauty day.
I started to say no to doing a lot of things I didn’t want to do. I watched myself become happier, I watched myself become healthier and I watched myself grow into a person I could love. But it took me hitting rock bottom to know that I needed to put my happiness first. Don’t be afraid to put yourself first but remember to still be kind to others
