-52 and counting. I've had some very sleepless nights these last few days and it wasn't until I started my weight loss journey that I realized how much sleep really plays a role on your gut health, and weight. .
Like many people, when I'm overly tired, I just want comfort food and 9x out of 10, I don't have the energy to cook so I hop to the nearest Taco bell for some bean burritos or Chipotle. .
What I'm learning about myself is that a LOT of pressure, combined with no sleep, is a trigger for me. .
I have to understand the trigger, acknowledge it and then make a choice...
Over the last 5 months I have not been able to overcome this. I got really upset with myself last night because I made the wrong choice with my eating habits. Truth is, I knew better, I just didnt want to do better. No, I didnt eat meat or diary. Im still vegan. But what I mean is that losing 50 pounds has been easy so far. Losing another 50 is going to require a new level of mental toughness. I cannot eat high carbs late night, I have to limit processed food, I must be willing to LOVE MY BODY enough to recognize my triggers and #OVERCOME

My goal for the next 3 months is to really overcome my triggers. It takes mental toughness and I will overcome! .
