About a year ago we were outside and TJ asked me to fly a kite with him and honestly I barely made it a lap around the yard.... I sat down and remember him saying it was ok I could just watch. I in that moment thought this is not how I want to be. Joining @tina_m_reed was a scary but needed decision. It has not always been easy and there has been days of doubt and fear. This picture is taken after showers tonight as we cuddle after a evening of flying a kite with TJ, taking Carly on a walk, and mowing the yard! Upper fix workout done
It’s amazing what the human body can accomplish! In a few days will mark 3 months since my accident and I still deal with neck and arm numbness throughout the day, but it is nowhere like it was a few months ago!
Still have more progress to make but being active and getting my workouts in have helped my recovery significantly!!
OH! And I upped my weights to 10s, which is a big accomplishment since the accident!
Saying YES and stepping outside my comfort zone has opened so many opportunities for me. One of those opportunities was becoming a coach. At first I was like this is not for me I just want to get back in shape and make healthier choices. Then I realized how amazing it felt to be getting in shape, to be healthy, and to be inspired and empowered by such a great community of people. I quickly decided that this is something I needed to do so I said YES. I said YES to getting in shape. I said YES to being healthy. I said YES to inspiring and empower others to feel the same amazing way I felt. The minute I said YES was the minute I was able to step out of my comfort zone and become a coach. .

8 years and I still have moments that I see myself in the photo on the right, constantly battling my own inner demons. 8 years ago I took claim of my life and changed it but mentally changes take much longer I have learned, thanks to society I often over criticize myself and my own beauty. But yesterday I read a quote from Rachel Hollins book, it said this; " You, and only you, are ultimately responsible for who you become and how happy you are." I feel like I’m finally at a stage where I can buy clothes that I actually care about because my kids wont totally trash them or rip earrings out of my ears . I’ve been having the most fun finding gems at @evereveofficial lately! A lot of the outfits you ask me about are from there and they get new stock a lot so I feel like I’m always getting something unique!

I’ll be honest with you—I spent the better half of my afternoon sulking. And that is NOT ok under any circumstances. Especially mine.
Yet, I decided I was going to let my mind wander and my heart sit in a negative space of ungratefulness.

Sometimes we have to take a step back and just see the big picture.
We have to fan perspective and then remind ourselves of everything we have to be thankful for.
Satan, back off! You lose. I choose to see the bright side. I am blessed!
I have CLEAN, running water that won’t make me sick.
I am healthy and able bodied.
I have so many people who love me and cheer me on daily!
I have multiple jobs that I LOVE.
I have everything I could ever need and most of the things I want.
I have TWO amazing families, one by blood, one I chose!
Seriously, what more could you ask for?
I won’t spend another moment in that negative space. I’m saying BYE BOY to the enemy, and taking tonight to draw my eyes up to my Jesus.
