The UAE Embassy in Jordan has overseen the distribution of 1,000 smart bags, offered by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, to the UAE-Jordanian camp for Syrian refugees in Mrajeeb Al Fhood, Zarqa Governorate, and the Zaatari refugee camp in Al Mafraq Governorate.
Faisal Ahmed Al Malik, Charge d’Affaires of the UAE Embassy, was accompanied by a delegation from the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, which visited the camp and distributed the smart bags to students.
The delegation was headed by Saif Al Mansouri, Advisor to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and included Shamsa Al Balooshi, Director of the Partnerships Department at the Foundation, and Dr. Khalid Al Wazni, Strategy Advisor at the Foundation, along with Awatif Abdul Raheem Al Harmoodi, General Manager of Operational Governance at the Emirates Islamic Bank, which sponsored the initiative.
Receiving the delegation at the Mrajeeb Al Fhood camp was Hamad Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of the Camp, and several members of its relief team.
The delegation listened to an explanation about the educational services offered in the camp, before distributing smart bags to several students.
