After watching #13ReasonsWhy this past weekend got me thinking hard!
To ‘live’ after a rape.
The semen. The sweat. The tongue. The smell. The blood.
Years after the incident, she could feel the semen dripping from her mouth, through her hips. With no source. She could still feel his sweat wetting her all over.
She checks her nail for dirt, always. Trauma is glittering all over in her eyes.
She could still see her nails ripped, broken and bleeding from clawing at the mud to escape. Oh! she could still hear the nails screeching.
Only she could hear that! No wonder she never wears nail polish anymore!
You could see her checking herself for the blood that had run down her legs from the rips. There’s nothing down there, in your eyes. Her eyes see differently, though. The violence screams in her eyes.
Every man who went across seems monstrous. Every hand looks like clawing toward her tender breasts. Every pair of eyes looks ravenous to feast on her.
She could taste his tongue over hers, vividly. She could still feel his wet, coarse tongue sweeping off her life from her bottom. She could still feel her body rocking back and forth. Something is still penetrating her.
The pain is excruciating. The pain is real. The pain is unforgiving.
She has become a regular visitor in the hospital. She has been fending off her assaulters over and over again. The monsters are, however, reveling over other dolls by now.
Every man has become a rapist.
She tries wearing a smile as an overcoat when needed. She lives, dying.
It is not easy to be a survivor of rapes!
Ps: Not a rape victim but I just wish they'd speak out and let their voice be heard! We stand with You!
