Since we started working together in June, Carsen has shown me his ability to exert intensity in the gym, and intensity when it comes to sticking to his diet. If you've been following his journey, you have seen the results this yields! This picture is from Tuesday's leg day from hell, and his face screams intensity!! In my opinion, intensity is THE difference in so-so and extraordinary progress. This is the one factor in changing your physique you are always in control of. How intense and focused are you while you train? How intense and focused are you on preparing and eating your meals as directed and on time? Mediocre effort leads to mediocre results!! If given the choice between working with an athlete with poor genetics but laser focus and intensity in and out of the gym, versus an athlete who is extremely genetically gifted but gives half assed effort while training, eats right half the time, and has to be reminded each week to check in, I'm taking the intensely focused individual EVERY TIME! Now, if the genetically gifted athlete learns to develop this work ethic, a pro will be born!
In my opinion, if you're going to chase a goal, CHASE THAT GOAL! I lion doesn't trot after a gazelle. It sprints!The day you don't give max effort to your diet and training is the day someone else beats you. The choice is in your hands! Win the day!
