As I entered #StPaul, AB from the trail, the clouds moved towards me with fury. They were dark purple and the thunder was roaring and lightening could be seen in the distance, great.
I looked around for some sort of shelter and in the distance was an enclosed gazebo, luck was on my side today. I approached the gazebo and it was locked, great. Didn't the world know that I just crossed the 4000 km mark? Probably not.
Plan B was a short distance away: a newly built train station looking building surrounded with a big veranda. As I was walking towards the building I could see the clouds were unleashing a furry of rain in the distance and my blood pressure increased two fold.
I approached the veranda and could see people seated inside, so I walked under the veranda, turned a couple corners, and around the last corner were a couple guys standing around cooking burgers and chatting. I introduced myself, they asked a couple questions, I answered a few, then one of the guys asked if I like burgers, I sure do.
