Doing my best mannequin impression—because, you know, I need another way to stand out besides being the only female brunette on my husband’s side of the family! 😂
But seriously, I’ve almost always felt like the odd one out in my life, and I have a feeling I’m not the only one.
Here are just a few ways I’ve felt different: 👰🏻I married & had kids significantly later than most of my friends. 🤱🏻I was unsure I wanted to be a mom, then, I became a loss mom through 3 miscarriages & a full-term stillbirth, before having my toddler. 🐎I’ve always been animal-obsessed and when I was a kid there were some who questioned if I liked them more than people 😊 📕I chose a major (media communications) that was 70% male. ✒️I voluntarily studied challenging, unrelated material “for the fun of it” at Oxford. 🤔On the Myers-Briggs, I’m an INFJ, less than 1% of the population. 🤓Though I was an excellent student who thrived in school, I never fit in in the “normalcy” of the 9-5 world I’d been trained to enter, and began looking for a way out as soon as I started. 🤔
What’s helped me find my 🎶 plaaaace in this worrrrrrld 🎵 (remember that song by Michael W. Smith)?
🤗Finding soul-level friends to share this entrepreneurial journey with has been THE game changer for me going from outsider who was lonely, grieving and isolated to feeling truly seen, heard, understood and supported, often by women I’d never even met in person. 😍
I met these women in group coaching programs and it truly opened up my world. 🙌
Now, I love creating that kind of space for those in my community to connect, and next week I’m unveiling something new that I’ve intentionally designed to help even my fellow introverts to quickly find their own biz besties while they build successful businesses. 👇
Link in bio @lifewpassion to register for Tuesday’s masterclass where I’ll share about it! 👂
I’m curious, how did you meet your biz besties, and are they online or in-person?
