👩🏾💻UX tools that make life easy?🙋🏾♀️
The tools we use as designers are crucial to so many things like time, productivity and efficiency. I’m sharing the tools I use daily to design, stay connected with my teams, and stay organized.
1️⃣Figma - Figma is one of my favorite tools because it allows you to design, collaborate, and protoype in one tool. One of the reasons I chose to use Figma was because it’s very similar to Sketch, which is what I was using prior, so the learning curve was very low. The other reason Figma is outstanding is because you can collaborate on project files in realtime with with your teams; similar to google docs. I love this because it eliminates version control which is always a headache when working on the same file as a teammate. Lastly, Figma allows you to prototype. I actually don’t use this too much as it’s not as robust as I need it to be; which brings me to my next tool.
2️⃣Invision/Marvel - These are the two separate tools that I use for prototyping. I’m sure there are some differences between the two, however I use them for prototyping and they work well for my needs.
3️⃣Slack - A saving grace of a program! Slack is how I stay connected with all of my teams, both business and personal, all in one interface. It’s so easy to share your files, group and direct messages, and gifs all in this one tool. You can also use it’s phone feature, but make sure your wifi signal is strong.
4️⃣Realtime Board - As someone who doesn’t physically work with my team, Realtime Board allows us to whiteboard, affinity map, journey map, etc. all in this collaborative tool. It’s the best way to get ideas out quickly and share them with your team. ➡️What tools are you using with your teams? Have a question about a program? Let me know, I’ve probably used it!
