Tag (2018) Review
Release Date: June 15th, 2018
Starring: Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Jake Johnson, Annabelle Wallis, Hannibal Buress, Isla Fisher, Rashida Jones
Plot Summary: One month every year, five highly competitive friends hit the ground running for a no-holds-barred game of tag -- risking their necks, their jobs and their relationships to take one another down. This time, the game coincides with the wedding of the only undefeated player. What should be an easy target soon becomes an all-out war as he knows they're coming to get him.
From the first time I saw the Tag trailer, I would laugh. Every time it showed in the previews, I would laugh. When the movie started, I was laughing before anything happened. The whole idea of five grown men playing tag cracks me up. If you've been following my reviews, you know that I love stupid comedy but not "try hard" comedy. Tag was mostly stupid comedy, which is a good thing. There were parts, like every comedy, that were forced, but overall it was great. I think each of the five friends got a chance to shine and they took advantage. It's a wild mix of crazy scenarios, but it works. Check it out if you get some time!
