Do you have a favorite Sangiovese?⠀
Here we have 2010 Frescobaldi Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino. It was made from the finest sangiovese grapes grown within a single vineyard site, the Castelgiocondo is a brilliant wine that has truly excelled in 2010. James Suckling described this vintage to be his Wine of the Year 2015 and awarded it a hugely impressive 97 points.⠀
Light ruby in color. Beautiful nose with lots of red cherries, flowers, herbs and some hint of leather. Ripe, soft and textured on the palate with flavors of red fruits, dark chocolate and cinnamon. Refined tannins. Felt some spices notes on a long and captivating finish. Looking forward to try it again over the next decade or so, this will only get better.
