Do you sometimes feel stuck? Yoga philosophy tells us we may come across nine obstacles during the course of our yogic journey - or indeed our lives - that will halt our progress in some way; illness, lethargy, doubt, impatience, fatigue, distraction, arrogance or ignorance, feeling as if we are in a rut, self-consciousness (or lack of confidence). As Bruce sang, you can't start a fire without a spark, and life has a bad habit of biting us on the backside now and then to remind us who really is The Boss....! For me, the past two years have been choc full of age-related feminine blah-dom (the joys of being Wo-man), as well as dealing with the illness and death of my mum. But something suddenly feels different. In the past few weeks, I've felt that spark reignite. The urge to be creative again; the desire to cook for the sake of it, to garden, to write and to move, dance and laugh wholeheartedly from the inside out.
Have faith everyone, sit with it. Be strong, accept and ask for help, but try not to fight it. It is what it is and with time, patience and the right conditions, the fire will begin to roar once again.
See you tomorrow morning at 9.30am - all welcome, casual (no booking necessary)
