We’ve all been told that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” but is it really? The short answer is that it depends on YOU! Some people wake up hungry and can’t function without breakfast. Others aren’t hungry in the morning so does that mean that they should force themselves to eat anyway? Unless you have an eating disorder or need to put on weight, you shouldn’t force yourself to eat if you’re not hungry. It’s more important to listen to your gut than to any rules from a diet because your body has a way of regulating its energy intake based on its needs. We are naturally designed to eat when we are hungry and to stop when we are full. The problem is that most of us don’t know how to do that anymore and think we are hungry all the time or that it’s somehow better to follow a set of rules than listening to your gut. This is why I’ve created a 4 week program that teaches you how to clean up your diet so you can start trusting your hunger and eating intuitively. These little bites from @farmandoven are oh so yummy! Little bakery bites with 2 servings of veggies and probiotics! From top left is beet dark chocolate, top right is pumpkin maple pecan, bottom left is carrot cinnamon and bottom right is zucchini lemon poppy seed. My two favorites are carrot cinnamon and pumpkin maple but they are honestly all delish!! Try them!

Guys, I am ALMOST halfway to my goal! I know it's just a number on the scale so who knows what will happen as I get closer. I do know that I am happier, even on sad days and living each day with a better attitude. There were a few times this week where I wanted to just hide in bed and not do a damn thing. I'm so glad I did not do that. Getting my ass up and going to the gym changes the day so much! Every day I can be closer to my goals and stronger than the day before is amazing. “Amakowa” african dish made with wild mushrooms, semi dried tomatoes and melted cheese. The base was a strawberry compote. If you are NOT getting the Results you want..
And you are drinking teas and having shakes and bars and vinegar and no rice and no meals after 6pm and butter in your coffee and you have a wrap or "faja" ...there is a REASON: ✅There is a now well-established hierarchy of importance when it comes to variables that influence weight loss.
.
✅The irony is that most of the debate centers on the least important variable: the balance of carbohydrate to fat in the diet.
.
✅Of equal irony is that those who argue that “calories don’t matter” are typically also advocates of low-carb, high-fat diets. Why might that be?
.
✅Early studies comparing low-fat to low-carb diets failed to control for important variable: protein intake. On average, low-carb trials averaged 30-35% protein vs. 15% in low-fat diets. This significant confounder explained the supposed “metabolic advantage” of the #LCHF diets, and explained the finding of greater short-term weight loss.
.
✅Characteristics of protein which enhance weight loss efficacy include increased satiety and consequent spontaneous reduction in calories (Priority 1), increased diet-induced thermogenesis (which may also have a role in satiety), and better adherence to an energy deficit.
.
✅That the efficacy of low-carb diets related more to the replacement of the macronutrient with protein, not necessarily the lower of carbohydrate per se, was confirmed in a comprehensive recent meta-analysis of metabolic ward studies which controlled for calories and protein: the difference between widely varying ratios of carb:fat was negligible.
.
✅In real-world terms: there is no difference. This has been confirmed with as rigorous a methodology and design as one could find in the field.
✅The “calories don’t matter” argument is in fact a complete red herring: a diet that allows you to maintain a calorie deficit, without overtly counting calories, still means calories count. Thus it is with low-carb diets.
.
✅For some reason, arguments over the primacy of total energy intake persist. This is redundant: energy excess drives adiposity, as energy deficit drives reductions in body mass. This is an incontrovertible fact.
.

Gosh I love to eat ❤️... For so many years I worried and agonized over what I should put on my plate. I thought I was following all of the “ diet “ rules. So i focused on low fat fat free light no Cal sugar free .... And then of course I would feel guilty if I had that dessert or that cocktail with a treat. I could never figure out what I was doing wrong. And why I wasnt getting the results that I was looking for. After all I was following the rules , right?

Three years later ... I look forward to each meal because I know I’m filling it with clean Whole Foods. I know im eating the right amount . And I know the food is delicious and filling .I know that I’m focusing on balance. So that I can enjoy a cocktail or dessert guilt free... And just as important, I really want to pass on this message to my girls What’s on your plate ?
