Have you received an email from the #IRS that you have failed to file #taxes and they are placing #liens on all of your properties and you may be #fined, #sued and sent to #jail unless you respond within a short time period?? Uh....I got an email just like this today.
A little scary- right? Watch out!! It’s a #scam according to the IRS website, the IRS does not normally contact tax payers via email or social media, but instead will first send contact through the U.S. postal service. Additionally, an IRS agent will never:
be hostile or rude
demand payment without giving you a chance to dispute payment amount
demand specific payment type (ie prepaid credit card)
threaten lawsuits, arrest, or deportation
ask for cc #s over the phone ————————————
