Do you already think about goals for 2018? I totally do! I’m so excited to make a new vision board for 2018. In 2018 i want to focus on my posture, i want to do more yoga, I want to become more flexible and stretch and I want to incorporate 5 minutes of meditation every day. I guess 2018 will be more about my wellbeing instead of focusing on my business. What are you thinking about setting up goals for 2018?

This morning I’m practicing what I preach and taking an EXTRA rest day ✌🏻
I haven’t slept well at all this week, I can feel myself getting the teeniest hint of a cold, and my digestion is playing up again from stress.
-
One hour at the gym this morning is just not worth the added stress and exhaustion to my body - no matter how hard it is to break routine and feel lazy.
I’ll smash the gym tomorrow - for now, I’m smashing my health goals and heading back to bed for 2 more hours of sleep instead 🙏🏻

Happy Thanksgiving! And guess what? It’s my birthday! How magic is that? It’s been such an amazing week, and I’m stunned and flattered that so many of you joined on the holiday train with me, vis-a-vis the stories. I’m awed and humbled by the number of comments, beautiful messages to me, and the love in general. I’m feeling particularly grateful today, so: Thank You!! And at last, the reveal. So much joyful work has gone into transforming my living room from one table into an additional two folding tables covered by plywood, moving blankets, and some gorgeous fabric from the local craft store. We set the table with old and new including my mother’s handed-down silver and crystal, and we’ve mixed and matched. I’m delighted with the outcome. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. I’m thinking today of everyone I love--many still here, and some no longer with us. Happy Thanksgiving, and I’m pretty much crazy about all of you guys. #gratitude

Try to seek out the whole food(real food) options as often as you can. You need to really look because most of the food around us is highly processed and loaded with refined carbs and sugars, but good options are out there! This is from Starbucks. Green juice with fruit, veg, spirulina, and chlorella and a banana. Much higher nutritional value than many of the other options there. Squares, cakes, bagels, pastries, donuts... they are so easy to get but don’t improve your health or function in any way. Food can either help your body work better or hinder it. This year I want you to IMAGE having a Successful Holiday. What does that look like to you? If you follow a few of these guidelines below I promise you, you will have a more successful Holiday this year vs. Last💃

1. Start your morning off with exercise! Get your workout in first thing in the morning so no excuses can get in the way. See if anyone wants to join you. Start your day by giving thanks to your body. Give it some T.L.C by moving it first thing in the A.M.! ex: Go to the gym, go for a walk, take a fun class, sign up for a 5k (if running or walking is your thing), or hire a trainer for the day.
2. Eat every 2-3 hours helps regulate sugar levels (insulin levels) which will prevent you from overeating. This way you can enjoy more of your favorite meals without feeling overly stuffed (like that stuffed turkey you’re about to eat). This strategy will help you feel more control around food.
3. Have water on you throughout the day. Dehydration will lead to overeating, headaches/migraines and low energy. Set a goal to drink up to 100-128 ounces of water today. Add lime or lemon, orange slices or any fruit of your choice. Add some flavored electrolytes to your water. Dehydration = Increased Food Consumption.

4. Choose the smaller plates vs. the larger plates (place the food on your plate before taking 1 bite). Wishing you and your family a Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving! Today also marks a year and a half without Nana. It’s easy to mope around this morning wishing I were spending one of my favorite days with my favorite person.
