Happy Monday! Woke up and was moving slow because I was tired from the boys being up most of the night (at different times thankfully handling them both at the same time in the middle of the night is rough). So I did what I try to always do when I’m feeling sluggish, I took time for me. That’s right, I made sure I got my workout in first thing and took extra time getting ready. My shower was a little longer, I did my hair and makeup and put on a comfy yet put together outfit. I know that these few extra minutes will help energize me and give me that little extra confidence boost to power through my day.
We do the same as a family. When all of us are moving slow we have a short family dance party. I tell echo to play trolls , yell family dance party and everyone runs to living room. We (all of us, even my hubby) dance to Justin Timberlake (which makes my inner *NSYNC fan happy). It is a silly family ritual that helps us all get out of our headspace. Although it technically wastes a few minutes of our valuable time in the morning, it has yet to fail in helping us get through the morning in a better mood, ready to face the day. We tend to even get things done faster on those days.
