Reverse abs are a quick and efficient way of getting the core burning. There are many variations but here are a couple I fit in today between clients and tantrums.
Always feel like the pubic bone is drawing to the belly button to initiate movement and then send the tailbone between the legs. Squeeze legs for extra adductor work.
Excuse the big head dancing around. This was the best of several videos. He’s just realised it’s him on the 🎥 lots of fun ensues!

1. Reverse roll back. I had the legs crossed one way and swapped half way through. I’ve shortened reps for the video. 8-10/side
2. Bicep curls while holding the rolled back position - as many as you can manage with strong curved position
3. Bicep curls in roll back with sigle leg raise

I understand that life happens and individuals get snowed under with work, study, family, social lives etc. but that is no excuse not to do something to help your body and become a better you! •
Yesterday I came home from a day at work and felt exhausted and unmotivated to do a heavy session,so instead I took my dog for a walk. Today, knowing that I would be tired after work decided to wake up early and get a good session in before I had to leave, and throughout the day I felt so much more energised!! •
No matter how busy your day is or how tired and unmotivated you may feel, do your best to get out and do something for your body, mind, and health. Even if it’s a 10 min stretch or a 5 min meditation, work on yourself a little bit everyday 💕

The magic of Spinal movements.

The first time I experienced the therapeutic power of spinal movements was when I took a workshop with Morgan from @nowhereyoga. He shares @simonsynergy yoga synergy method - yoga for modern bodies.
Back then I was struggling with severe lower back pain and I was amazed how good I felt after yoga synergy class.
Recently, studying Ashtanga yoga with Mark Robberds & Deepika Mehta we were focusing a lot on moving one vertebrae at a time and bringing more fluidity to the body through exploring pelvis movements.
I try to do these movements daily before ashtanga practice.
It awakens my spine (and mind) and brings more awareness to the spinal column (so I don’t collapse into my lower back by compensating my tight upper back) and just feels really really really good.. during and after.

My movements are not fluid and flowy, rather stiff and rigid. And that only shows how much I need them. The truth is - everyone does. Our spine is designed to move, būt we often don’t respect that. :) As Deepika told us - don’t think. Close your eyes and feel. Just move. Don’t be scared to look silly.
Often it’s not another cup of coffee that we need, it’s more movement.
So more fluidity, friends. More movement.
And more nature. ✨💛
