The reps for those levels will be written on the board and you have 45 mins to complete them. If you finish, great... move on to phase 2. If not mark where u ended and finish up next time before moving on.
1on 1s you will start tommorow. Group class members start Tuesday.

I took a walk to Lumphini Park early this morning to find an array of people of all ages running, cycling, taking part in outdoor Thai Chi and training at the open air gym, callisthenics bars and other outdoor equipment.
As I travel around, I find it very interesting to watch and learn about the norms of different communities’ lifestyles- what they eat, whether they consciously do things to keep fit, whether particular jobs contribute towards their fitness and the ages of different people who still keep active. Coming from a country that is one of many western countries suffering from the obesity epidemic, it’s difficult not to compare lifestyles and wonder what could be done to reverse the issue.
️♂️ The open air gym was pretty cool to train in. Granted, it can be nice to have the latest equipment in a pristine gym but sometimes you’ve got to realise that it’s not about the tools, it’s about the effort of the person using them that counts. Plus... it was 20 baht (around 46p for a session!)
I remember talking to a lady at the very beginning of my journey. We were planning different events and one event was an hour before my 3rd 5K. She looked at me and said: can you finish under an hour and get here on time? I said: yeah I can! Finished in 47 minutes and got to my destination with 4 minutes to spare.
Sunday Funday Post party day which meant clean, clean, clean ! Got a lot of it done early which allowed us time at one of our favorite spots doing what we love Something about paddle boarding just calms me and I love that our whole fam can go together. Still reveling in my Revel Rockies PR last month with some new bling. This one may mean the most to me, it was my 8th marathon & I had not come anywhere near the time of my 1st marathon in 2013. If I never PR again, at age almost 45, I was able to best my time from when I was 39. I am in a bit of a running rut now. I have been enjoying my summer, busy with the kids and loving the shorter runs & cross training. I’ve already run 3 marathons this year & I haven’t been motivated to start training for MCM yet & really need to ramp up my mileage, gotta get my a$$ out there soon! ♀️ #someoneinspireme#PR#revelrockies#marathontraining#mcm#runwiththemarines
Workout happened a little later today than my liking but worked out well since the weather cleared.LIIFT4 Day 4 Bring on week 2! Feel bloated from all the eating and drinking yesterday, so be it, life happens! Good times! Just have to keep moving forward. 5k was great yesterday, I had a PR, goes to show that the work you put in does pay off eventually. It’s took me almost 2 years to PR the 5k distance but once it happened it feels SO good! I no longer use PAM, I’ve bought these oil spray bottles and I put olive oil in one and avocado oil in the other, works just as well, if not better and are so much healthier for you. They work great for spraying your salad as well. Did you get out and move this weekend? Do you have unrelenting neck, upper back, or upper trapezius pain? Do you just want an exercise you can quickly do at your desk? Or maybe improve your posture? Be at ease, this may help you!!! This is the Bruegger's exercise. It is a mobility exercise you can do from your very own chair to combat the prolonged posture you hold while at office, while studying, or while binge watching #netflix on your laptop.
1. Sit at the front edge of your chair. This allows your pelvis to tilt forward pushing your lumbar spine into neutral.
2. Simultaneously squeeze your shoulder blades back while rotating your arms such that the palms face outward. Be sure not to shrug your shoulder upwards while doing so. Do this while tucking your chin in, it should feel like you are making a 'double chin'. Make sure your head is still facing forward and not towards the ground while doing this.
3. Do anywhere between 3-10 repetitions every half hour to hour as needed.
4. DON'T CHEAT YO'SELF. Swipe Right to see the next 3 videos on what NOT to do.
LEFT video shows what shrugging will look like. This will contract your already tight and fatigued upper trapezius muscles and take away from the benefits of this exercise.
Middle video shows extension of the head and neck. This will NOT allow you to stretch your upper neck extensors which are already tight from maintaining a forward head posture.
RIGHT video shows hyperextension of the spine. Be sure to keep your back straight and in neutral. Extension of the spine will give you a false impression of how you are moving your shoulders and neck, and will take away from the benefits of this exercise.
Weekend unwind workout.
I was a little worn out from the week so I kept my workout slow and added in a little streching to the excercises. It was AMZING at the lake this weekend so I was able to do a dock workout.
1) Pistol squats 5 each side. I still can't do them on the left leg so I recruited a rope from the dock to help me out. Can't do the yet? Try them assisted!.
2) Downward dog with knee up. Try a little kick at the elbow, I try it out at the end of the clip - 10 alternating.
3) Divebomer pushups (get a good Cobra stretch in!) X 10.
4) Leg Lifts x 10 each side.
5) Sit up with pike stretch x 10.
