Super excited to be heading back to Corfu in a few weeks! 🇬🇷🙌🏻 I am a massive believer in everything happening for a reason, and the way this came into my life last year was nothing but that!
I was FED UP working in London in corporate reception jobs where people didn’t even feel the need to say hello to me. I felt SO invisible and honestly just thought what’s the point. 🤷🏽♀️ One day it just hit me.
Nothing changes if nothing changes. 🤯
So I made a decision. I decided to stop working jobs that didn’t light me up!
And it was scary AF! I had no other plan, and I was definitely not financially in a place where I had the flexibility to just ‘decide’ to stop working.
But by making that decision, I created space.
I got rid of the old to make space for the new.
I vividly remember sitting on my couch at home with no CLUE what I was going to do.
My phone rang, none other than my fab friend @marclawsii 🙏🏼
ML- “What are you doing next week?”. AR- “Nothing too much, teaching a few classes and trying to find a new job because I just quit my temp role…”
ML- “Great, whatever you’re doing cancel it, because I just told someone you would be able to come and teach a retreat in Corfu...” And with that he hung up the phone as he had to go and teach a yoga class! 🧘♂️ Kind of shocked and not really knowing what to do my logical mind started telling me all the reasons I couldn’t just go and do that. Then I STOPPED. ✋
I trusted, and I started to reschedule everything I had currently planned for the week.
Marc came over that afternoon and helped me organise everything. He explained that one of the teachers had unfortunately fallen ill, and 3 days later I was on a plane to teach for a week on a retreat in Corfu! ✈️ That week was the eye opening experience I needed.
That week I got to stay in a beautiful beachside location, eat delicious home-cooked Greek food, connect with an amazing group of people and share my love of yoga and wellness with them. I got paid 3x as much as what I was earning working the reception job I HATED that week for doing what I loved!
It all started to make sense. Continued in comments... 🙈
