Ya’ll know how stressful getting everyone ready for family pics can be (no matter how old your kids are😩) But then we meet up with @laurafoote and the stress just fades. Ahhh!! You guys, she is absolutely one of the best there is in the photography world. You would be so lucky to book her when she makes it to town. Her home base is Tampa but she travels all over, making clients smile for the wonderful person she is and producing gorgeous, natural light images that we will treasure for a lifetime. She’ll be back in Kansas in October...go to her page and book her now!! We wrapped our shoot and she had previews to me within the hour 🙌 and did the Capitol make the most gorgeous background or what?!!😍#luckyclients#laurafootephoto#naturallightphotography#familyphotographerforlife#topcitypics#topeka#kansascapitol#familypics
Kansas state capitol building in Topeka was full of lovely bronze details. It has the strangest visitor's entrance I've experienced so far though. You enter in what is basically the basement and have to go through a museum and the stairs to get up to the central rotunda were weirdly hidden, so it sort of took away from the impressiveness of the building. Solidly middle of the road as far as capitols go. . . . . . #roadtrip#capitol#capitolbuilding#capitolcity#capitolquest#kansas#topeka#topekakansas#kansascapitol
Morning visit to the capital city farmers market! Scored melons, tomatoes, baked goods, kettle corn & bracelets! Also talked to KSU extension about Japanese beetles & why our tomatoes aren’t doing very good. Got hot fast & the girls (& husband) we’re done.
One benefit of climbing the stairs of Henderson this time of year...you can see the Kansas State Capitol!
Being located in a capital city means there are lots of jobs and internship opportunities, especially in government! You can still apply for the fall semester at washburn.edu/apply. #ApplyWashburn#GoBods#Topeka#KansasCapitol
There’s a dinosaur in the governor’s office. This tylosaurus swam in the ocean covering Kansas 80 million years ago.
Kansas House Minority Leader Jim Ward and Senator Denning were recognized for their roles in recent legislation that pulls their state back from the brink of economic catastrophe.

Looking through my road trip photos now. I’m on a mission to see all 50 states, and I knocked out 6 on this last road trip. Kansas is #37 These are from the Kansas Statehouse. It’s a beautiful building, and you pretty much have free reign walking around it. #kansas#kansascapitol#travel
