Another great weekend teaching a @paddlecanada level one course for @ontarioseakayakcentre at Guelph Lake. I have been doing these courses for over ten years now and the best part of doing them is the level of excitement and anticipation the students bring. Their eager curiosity is always so refreshing and inspiring. I love watching them overcome their fears of capsizing, learn how to get back in, and when they realize how stable these skinny boats really are. I am teaching up on a raft of boats in the middle of the lake here.
Whether it is kayaking, biking, running, or just playing with my kids; regular training in the gym just makes all of these activities easier and more enjoyable. Putting in the work makes the play a lot more fun!
There are two more courses scheduled for the summer. If you are interested in participating contact @ontarioseakayakcentre.
We had so much fun in the Florida Keys! We kayaked completely around Ohio Key. Thank goodness we brought our sun hats and beach towels to cover our legs. By the end of the paddle we were starting to get pretty sunburned even though we kept putting sunscreen on. It was such a fun experience! . . . . #kayak#paddle#thekeys #kayaking#adventure#paddling#kayaklife
