Yesterday we had a beautiful paddle down the Allegheny. It never ceases to amaze me what the river does to nurture the soul, the healing qualities that arise from being immersed in nature.
Although I love hiking, camping, and the occasional cave exploration, there's something about being on the river "flow," that allows one to truly release further into nature.
Over the centuries man has endeavored to connect with his family of ancestral divinity, our "roots," with drawings, music, theater, writings, and many other modalities of expression, all simply abiding in the most pure form we can be in, apart of, "flow" through, touching deeply to the core of who we are.
Each life path bursting to come forth as it has willed to do so in our incarnation.
Just as in the flow of water, the path of least resistance surrenders emotion in the natural cycle of life, revealing what resonates down the halls of heavens inner chambers.
Contentment, peace, and serenity, stand as faithful guardians, to what we know as truths about ourselves, as we each discover our being.
As we allowed the current to move us, eagles soared above, their wide wings breaking the air for lift into the tops of the trees.
A song of woodland insects serenaded from shore, somehow the heart knew in familiarity.
With each ripple, bend of the river, and movement from the shore, it becomes clearly evident that life is much more than living; that to live each soul must express their being.
May we grant ourselves passage, along our way of "flowing," each soul coming forth in acknowledgement of its calling, bearing witness to the love we are unfolding.
May it be so, so it is.
