Back in junior year of college is when I really began utilizing HIIT training. A lot of people cringe at the idea of sprints, but I love them. I commonly would hit up the gym before classes early morning, go through the day, then right at the brink of sunset I’d hit the pavement around the campus and perform 5-8 high intensity 45 second all-out sprints. It wasn’t easy but I busted my a$$ and did it anyway, absolutely loved the challenge. This is also when I discovered how well my calve muscles responded to fast paced running . To this day I still praise HIIT training, The feel, The rush, The high, before the sun rises, when it’s pitch black out, when it’s 95+ degrees, I don’t care! It pushes your mental capabilities and brakes you out of your shell #madclass .
