Text 644-33 to register to vote! This is me, unfiltered, as we continued to knock on doors in public housing units after the power went out. I went into apt units and used my flashlight as people opened doors and then said, “thank you for opening and let me shine the light on me so you can see who I am.” Fiorella was my partner and together we covered many lower incoming housing units. We spoke (in Spanish when needed) to registered voters, residents who could not vote, ex-felons, struggling veterans, people who were in emergency / temporary housing. Some were familiar with Amy, most were not and understandably so. Too many think voting doesn’t matter. “A crook replaces another crook.” We must change this mentality the best we can. We won’t sell everyone, but we have to sell enough to feel like we played an active role in the change we want to see in our country. Message me if you want to volunteer - you can canvas, drive people like me, donate, call, put up a yard sign, hold an event to raise $, tell everyone about candidates you believe in and get everyone to register ASAP. @amymcgrathforky_6 Amy McGrath is why we do what we do. We need more leaders with her experiences and genuine treatment of all people.
