We ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse before the @bobseger concert tonight. We were going to eat at some snooty place called @jimssteakhousedowntownpeoria , but not only was the maitre' d an ass, but his witch of a manager reminded me of why Texas is called #thefriendlystate. Their loss. We are celebrating Our 30th anniversary and were prepared to drop some serious cash in there. We won't be back. Ever. Meanwhile, we enjoyed a great meal and saved money!

Cheeseburger casserole with a little mac sauce. Cooking was rough tonight. First night in 17 years I didn't have to shoo Peanut from my feet or hear him scream cause I stepped on him. He was such a little glutton! He reminded us of a Hoover whenever there was food around. I'll never forget dog. None of it. 🧡

So many people ask me about the benefits of fasting, and I found this image exceptionally helpful. I personally love intermittent fasting for the way it makes me feel. I feel like I’m giving my digestive system a needed break every day. I currently have an 8-hour eating window, but I think I’m going shorten it to 7 and slowly shorten it until I’m down to one meal a day (OMAD). I had a lot of success with omad when I first started keto and want to get back to that point.
The struggle is real! The amount of restraint it takes to refrain from eating sugar and carbs, PALES IN COMPARISON to the restraint it takes to bite my tongue about Keto.... the worst are the haters who think they can get under your skin by flashing you pics of what they are eating or trying to give you a bad time about not "being able to" eat sugar or carbs anymore". Truth is I can eat whatever the hell I want to just like you, but I know now what I didn't before. Sugar and carbs make you sick, and gain weight. They keep your body addicted to more of them. I don't shame people for the carbs and sugar they eat. Happy Tuesday Keto Fam! How are you today? Here is my #omad meal today. It’s a little heavy on the bread cheese, but oh well. It was delicious. This is day two of having my omad in the middle of the day, rather than for dinner. So far, so good! (24 hours fasted.) I hope you’re having a great day! I love this! There is so much mis information out there with Keto. I spent 11 years in active opposition to Ketogenic diets. I spent 1 full year reading everything I could.
