So happy! Did my first workout since the stroke back in June and it felt gooood 😅! Did 3 rounds of the following with a very light kettlebell. Perfect if you’re a new beginner!
10 swings
10 goblet squats
10 push ups
10 rack lunges Right
10 rack lunges Left
20 plyo rows
20 bicycle crunches
10 snow angels
10 shoulder press R
10 shoulder press L
10 dips
Set the time if you’re competitive, or go slow (like I did) if you’re not feeling like it today.

There are so many ways to go about strength training and there are so many workout programs out there.

One of the things I enjoy teaching the most is how to keep things simple without it being complicated. There’s nothing new about this concept when thinking about @danjohn’s 5 basic movements and @nick_tumminello’s Fat Loss 4 & Fat Loss 5 circuits.

Why am I teaching this to my clients and social media friends? I’m sharing this because there are a lot of individuals out there who spend more time Googling workouts than getting their workouts in. This is a simple method to get a full body workout in that I have used for years without making it complicated.

Kettlebells-can be used for warming up, cardio, recovery, and strength training. My favorite thing about them is they force you into using different grips and movements that you wouldn’t traditionally do with dumbbells.

The exercise I was doing was a high pull, which is part of my shoulder routine. You can start with the kettlebell on the ground or at your waist and simply pull it to about head high, while keeping it close to your body. It not only activates most of the shoulder muscles, but also back and triceps.

CORE WORKOUT WITH WEIGHTS! 🧤
You’ve probably heard how important a strong core is and it really is! Core is not just about working your abs, it also strengthens your hips, back and all muscles in the midsection of the body. The core is your center of gravity and where all body movements begin! It is how you for example get a good posture, improve your balance and stability (which can help prevent injuries) & prevent back pain. How about that?!

I would personally do these 2 exercises 1 minute each with 15 second rest in between. Probably 1-3 rounds, depending on my mood. Olle in the clip, 71 years of age, is super strong and is using a 12 kg kettlebell. But this workout CAN BE DONE WITHOUT WEIGHTS! Also, it can be done on different levels. So here are some tips for these 2 exercises:
☝🏿 In the first exercise, bend your knees if you need to (if you have short hamstrings for example). This will make the exercise a bit easier.
☝🏾 Feel the crunch when you lift your shoulder blades off the floor. It should feel like the ribs and hips are coming closer together.
☝🏽 In the second exercise, If you’re struggling to keep your legs still then put your heels on the ground.
☝🏼 Look at the weight to create more movement in your upper body.
☝🏻 Have fun! I mean, why not?!

This one is going to test a lot of things...

Your balance is one but also your flexibility and mobility through your shoulders, upper back and chest just to name a few.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have a good range of motion you should be able to have your arm up straight and either next to your ear or behind your head.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you are a bit stiff if your shoulders and upper back your arm will sit in front of your head and drop forwards when you go down into a lunge.To start maybe try without a weight and see how you get on with your range of motion first before adding weight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Due to the exercise being one handed and having to balance with your arm extended overhead your core activation is going to be insane.

Killer! 🔥 took this one from my boy @joshteves24 and let me tell you, PROPS to anyone who can complete this whole complex without stopping (or dying). Did the first three exercises then collapsed on the floor at almost 100% Max HR to find my soul (it didn’t want to come back btw). Got up a minute later and finished the next three exercises. Did this 3x hitting 600kcal. 16kg KBs. Check out the second video for all@the moves... 💀

here’s a little #wednesdayworkout kettlebell finisher for ya 👊🏻👊🏻 I always default to kettlebells (and encourage my clients to do the same *AHEM*) because they promote training compound movements as opposed to isolating muscle groups
✖️single arm KB snatch 3x10/arm
✖️windmill 3x5/side
👉🏻👉🏻INSANE oblique work. Essentially a diagonal deadlift. Keep your eye on the bell

Do your kettlebell work!

Suppose to be a rest day, but feeling inspired by @primal.swoledier
to play around with the kettlebell a little. Now you can see from the movement and My Face! That the kettlebell was little on the heavy side. But when that is the lightest one you have laying around, that is what you use.

Now if you are short on time, a kettlebell flow is definitely one of the best ways to get the most bang for your buck. The unique weight distribution activates a shit ton of different muscle fibers at once. And when you start moving it... 🔥🔥🔥🔥 however, it is important to understand neutral spine and proper core activation first. ☝🏽 That being said I hope you are all having a magnificent day. If you are thinking of someone, pick up the phone and call them right now. Own the moment!

I am a huge fan of lifting weights. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment when I can press, pull, or squat some heavy a#@ weights.! ——- But nothing feels better to me than when I grab that bar and bust out 25 pull-ups then hit the deck and destroy 50 push-ups followed immediately with benching 225lbs for max reps. 💪🏽 OUCH!
——— You should master your body first before touching any external resistance. Once you learn how to move your body weight you can hop on over to the weights to magnify your bodies physical abilities.

But that’s just my opinion. What are your thoughts?

Ich bin die letzten Tage sooo müde 😴 zu müde für ein ausgiebiges Training, zu müde, um den Haushalt zu schmeißen, zu müde für Spaziergänge, sogar zu müde, um viel zu essen 😅 nach dem Frühstück kommt meistens nicht mehr viel, außer Sodbrennen deluxe. So sehr, dass kaum mehr was hilft und ich abends im Bett nicht weiß, wie ich mich legen soll 😑 auch bin ich so extrem kurzatmig geworden, dass ich manchmal selbst nach nur ein paar Schritten schon stehen bleiben muss, weil ich keine Luft mehr bekomme 😓 niemals hätte ich gedacht, dass mich die letzten Wochen der Schwangerschaft noch so sehr mitnehmen! Gut, dass es am Freitag noch mal in den Urlaub geht, da kann ich mich meiner Müdigkeit hingeben und Kraft für den Endspurt tanken 🌸
