CORE WORKOUT WITH WEIGHTS! 🧤
You’ve probably heard how important a strong core is and it really is! Core is not just about working your abs, it also strengthens your hips, back and all muscles in the midsection of the body. The core is your center of gravity and where all body movements begin! It is how you for example get a good posture, improve your balance and stability (which can help prevent injuries) & prevent back pain. How about that?!
I would personally do these 2 exercises 1 minute each with 15 second rest in between. Probably 1-3 rounds, depending on my mood. Olle in the clip, 71 years of age, is super strong and is using a 12 kg kettlebell. But this workout CAN BE DONE WITHOUT WEIGHTS! Also, it can be done on different levels. So here are some tips for these 2 exercises:
In the first exercise, bend your knees if you need to (if you have short hamstrings for example). This will make the exercise a bit easier.
Feel the crunch when you lift your shoulder blades off the floor. It should feel like the ribs and hips are coming closer together.
In the second exercise, If you’re struggling to keep your legs still then put your heels on the ground.
Look at the weight to create more movement in your upper body.
