Photo by @simonnorfolkstudio | Darius I built the greatest palace at Persepolis. This palace was called the Apadana. The king of kings used it for official audiences. The work began in 518 B.C.E., and his son, Xerxes I, completed it 30 years later. The palace had a grand hall in the shape of a square, each side 60 meters (200 feet) long with 72 columns, 13 of which still stand on the enormous platform. Each column is 19 meters (62 feet) high with a square Taurus (bull) and plinth. The columns carried the weight of a vast, heavy ceiling. The tops of the columns were made from animal sculptures such as two-headed lions, eagles, human and cows, the latter symbols of fertility and abundance in ancient Iran. Photo @stephen_matera// The desert surrounding Hanksville, Utah is a surreal mix of canyons, mountains and plateaus. Hanksville was first settled in the late 1800s and was a supply post for Butch Cassidy and the Wild Bunch Gang, who would hide out at nearby Robbers Roost Canyon (not shown here). The surrounding area is a nearly six-million acre wilderness that was the last in the lower 48 to be mapped by the USGS. “Last Christmas I gave you my heart... Tula, our rescue, under last years Christmas tree. It was her first Christmas and she was lucky to spend it with her big new family together. I think she knew how lucky she was and is. Looking forward to the holidays and all the cuddles she will get.” writes @wildwildpack

Last month, I had an honor to shoot an artist singer @mrjacobbanks in Paris during an afternoon in Montmartre.
The first time that I listened his music, I was surprised by his tremendous voice.
Tonight, I'm excited to see this man in concert at Le Trianon in Paris #makeportraits

I’m finishing my visit to Saudi Arabia where I attending the opening race for the 2019 Formula e Series.

Before the trip I was able to visit Medain Saleh, which is a World Heritage Site in the north of the country. It is very similar to Petra in Jordan and was built by the same Nabatean people. It has been high on my list of world heritage sites to. Is it for a long time.

I’ll be posting a very long article on my thoughts on visiting Saudi Arabia on Facebook. I will provide a link and notification when it is up over on my Instagram Stories.
