Hard to beat this view (and company) for a birthday picnic. We kept it low waste with some sandwiches wrapped in paper, pomegranate seeds and cucumber slices in stainless steel containers, homemade popcorn in a @nondisposablelife bento bag, pluots, ginger lemon kombucha in a glass bottle and cloth napkins. I loved that we could eat everything with our hands, no utensils required, and we packed out the bottle and paper wrappers so we could dispose them properly at home. The weather was perfect, the baby was happy and we had the shade of coastal cypress trees to keep us cool. Feeling grateful for my wonderful husband and son, and that we get to call the Bay Area our home.
