Kitenge founder, Siân, with our long standing mannequin, named Tallulah, enjoying the live music @africaoye festival in Liverpool recently. She has been with us from the very beginning since 2014, showcasing our latest African fashion wear to the masses, at market stalls and music festivals across the country! We’ve had a few falls and wobbly legs over the years but she always picks herself back up and gets on with looking fabulous at the front of our stall. Thank you Tallulah for all your hard work, loyalty, dedication & commitment for Kitenge over the years. We’ll never forget it. Keep on dazzling!👭🤩😉

Fabric scissors are probably one of the most important tools for our tailors in Tanzania as they do freehand cutting. This means they don’t need to fuss about creating a commercial pattern first. Every, unique piece of the garment construction is carefully calculated using just a tape measure before being cut by hand. Some talent and craft to watch!
