Week 1 of 12 weeks to Kona recap. .
This week marks my first official week of training for #kona and so I thought I would document my journey over the next 12 weeks with weekly Sunday night updates on how the training is going.
This week follows 7 weeks of intense base training that I essentially needed to build some serious quad muscles. Since I have only been doing tri's for about 10 months I was quite honestly shocking on the bike. I feel like this week all the base training has paid off and can see and feel a huge improvement on the bike! .
Running this week was basically a 'get it done' situation. I am still suffering from blisters and cant find shoes that work for me @theathletesfootmtgravatt is working really hard to get me fitted into something that will work and I am so grateful.
As for swimming. What swimming. Opps. I really need to get over the cold and get my sorry butt in the pool!! .
Nutrition has been interesting! I have been trying new things to try and find what's best! I used to use @winnersbars chews but found it a hassle so now I am trying @infinitnutritionoz on the bike and run! Today on the 4hr ride the drink was great but the 30mim run was alot to be desired. I was left feeling hungry and lacking energy. On the long run I tried winners gels and that may also be an option. *always open to suggestions!!*
Great headshot mum took isn't it. She's been practicing because I have just been asked to join the @konaleashes family! My new leash will be coming soon and I have a code for you guys so you can go get 15% your purchase as well.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. #Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade #winds in your sails. #Explore. #Dream. #Discover.
