Jamie Wise. I met him about 5 years ago in a small studio in NYC. He was a few minutes late and humbly apologized. But what i remember more, is that i felt a soothing, complex and incredibly creative presence around him. I asked him what he does, aside from the obvious modeling side of things, and he said that he's a performer.
Singer, guitar player, writer and i am sure, many more talents. It was another rare moment of an instant connection and we became good friends after that. We had many deep, thought provoking conversations over the years. Mostly about life and the journey of it all. Ah yes, i forgot one of the talents- drawing. Beautiful.
We met up again when i visited LA and we had a great reunion of sorts. Again, filled with meaningful conversation. Isn't that what we all actually want? Just someone to talk to, but have an actual conversation with? Not just a husk that repeats what they've been taught over the years.
We took some portraits, i learned how to do cheesy headshots, which i am not showing here, and we drove around LA, seeing some really cool spots. Haven't seen him in about 2 years, but we keep in touch. I hope we get to cross paths again in the near future.
A lovely person and anyone who's met him, will surely agree. Unless he's actually really evil and good at hiding it. ;) Wishing you all the best as always @jamiejwise
