It’s been a whirlwind of an afternoon. Christopher & I were so excited to see our bebe & find out the gender (it’s a boy!) but so sad to hear what my high risk doctor saw during the ultrasound. I found out early on that I have a subchorionic hemorrhage & a month ago, we found out I actually have two hemorrhages. My doctor wanted me to see a high risk doctor because of this. While the high risk doctor didn’t see any signs of hemorrhages, she did find a handful of extremely concerning things. She said the baby is measuring way smaller than he should be at this point & that the ventricles in his brain don’t look normal. But he was super active during the ultrasound, so that was reassuring to see. Also, the placenta is not good & isn’t getting all the nutrients it needs to supply the baby with all the good stuff. I had to go to the hospital for genetic bloodwork to test for a variety of chromosomal abnormalities since my older sister has a chromosome defect. Christopher, bebe boy, & I could really use your prayers for healing & peace of mind. I know God is the ultimate healer & I believe He works miracles, but this is far from an ideal situation. All we want is a healthy, happy little boy to love.
