People within the community conducted a vigil Sunday evening. The two decease individuals were both male and female. Their identities have not yet been released. However, a card was place at the vigil site which read, “RIP Chris.” Although the street is known for people speeding, according to police officials, it is still undetermined as to what caused the crash.
12/16/18: Two people were pronounced dead on 12/16/18 after a car crashed into a building on Crenshaw Bl between 66th Pl and 66th St causing the building structure to partially collapse, according to authorities. The crash occurred shortly after 9:10 a.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. Both people were ejected from the vehicle. Neither one had on seat belts, according to police officials.
