Who here wants to be lean? .
I know it's something that a lot of people are going for, but only a few gets to be lean.
.
Why is that? It's because when people want to be lean they immediately think they need to do hours of cardio and spend hours working out. What happens is that their body fights back and starts to conserve energy.
.
When the body starts to conserve energy, it will conserve fat. This is the reason why it is hard to burn fat. .
To avoid this, you need to give your body the right amount of work. Keep cardio sessions minimal to about 20 minutes, once a week. You can do 2 sessions max, but as much as possible keep it minimal.
.
For your weight sessions, do just 3 - 5 workouts but you must make it intense and keep the workouts under an hour.
.
To make your workouts intense, try doing what you normally do for hours, and compress it to 30 minutes. See how intense your workouts will be.

DOING CORE OR CRUNCHES WILL NOT GIVE YOU A FLAT STOMACH
This is something I here day on day. Clients often come to me after weight loss and fat loss, and of course the general concern is to TONE the stomach area. Great that a goal possibly alongside a dress size. I am going to be blunt with this post if you are fairly over weight or holding a fair amount of body fat in that area; performing ab crunches or any movements that only concerns that area will not give you a flat stomach!!! The body needs stress, and adaptation to burn body fat. How do we do we do this we train the whole Body, we actively use the core during the entire session. Resistance training for 45 minutes alongside 15 minutes of conditioning work is what will give you a flatter stomach! - [x] OTHER POINTERS FOR A FLATTER STOMACH:
- [x] LOWER YOUR SALT INTAKE, THIS MAY MASK FAT LOSS AND CAN CAUSE BLOATING

Last time I showed how you can safely progress your #Deadlift, from Bodyweight all the way to a Barbell Deadlift (See 2 posts back). Today I want to show you how to progress your #Lunge, another functional pattern movement of your body. We Lunge every time we go up and down the stairs, step over things, bend to pick something from under the table, amongst other things, so maintaining and improving this pattern will keep our body capable and strong enough to deal with life stuff independently and injury free. So here is one way you can progress your Lunges using one Dumbbell:

Deadlifts are compound exercises that require the use of all your major muscle groups in your lower body, your core, your lower and upper back muscles. The strength that you achieve from performing Deadlifts is also practical and can help you in your everyday life. Just think about the amount of times you bend over to pick something up. However, the Deadlift is an advanced lift and should be approached with care. Here is one way you can progress slowly and safely towards a Barbell Deadlift. Always start the movement from the hip, followed by a slight bend in the knees. Engage your core to protect your lower back. Keep your spine neutral and neck in line with the spine by tucking the chin in slightly.

Have you ever worked out in a gym at the busiest time? When every single machine and equipment seems to be taken and there is not even room to breath? Well, this is for days like that. Just grab a Barbell you can safely Overhead Press for 10 Reps and find yourself a corner. That’s all you’ll need to have a good workout:
Type: Full Body
Equipment: One Barbell and an exercise mat
Duration: Around 45 mins
🏋️‍♂️ RDLs into Clean and Press 8-10, 3 Sets,30-60s Rest (you should rest enough to be able to repeat the previous set output, meaning if you only rest 30s and you can only perform 6reps, you have not rested enough, in that case increase your rest time. As a general rule you should be able to breath through your nose not through your mouth when you start the next set) 🏋️‍♂️ Bentover Rows into Upright Rows 8-10, 3 Sets, 30-60s Rest
🏋️‍♂️ Back Squats into Back Lunges 10-12 Total, 4Sets, 30-60s Rest 🏋️‍♂️ EMOM: Every Odd Minute perform 10 Push Ups
Every Odd Minute perform 10 Back Extensions
4 Rounds
🏋️‍♂️ Thread the needle Side Plank. Up to 10 reps each side. 30s Rest between sides, 2 sets each side (your arm should be in line with your shoulder to protect your shoulder joint. To regress, perform half plank, from the knees)

Equipment: One Set Of Dumbbells for lower body and one lighter for Shoulder Press, optional. (Go as heavy as you can to finish the prescribed repetitions with good form and rest 30s after each exercise)
