I had a blast creating this Emerald, sapphire and diamond costume. I wont actually wear it to perform because it was just a prototype to practice some of the different sewing skills I have learned from @maomurakami Mao's Sparkling Belly video tutorials are amazingI I put together a collection of some of my favorite moments. Yes, I plan to wear the next costume I create. It is pink and so far looks like fabulously gorgeous candy covered donuts. #diy#learningtosew#bellydance#costumemaking
Made this #slouchytee from @itsalwaysautumnblog a couple of weeks ago. It’s a #freepattern in large so was perfect for me! Super easy knit sew I did it in an hour. Used jersey knit fabric I got from @fabrixsf a couple of months back. Fabric is light and airy perfect for this #SF summer weather!
Fashion and style should always be fun! Make sure not to overthink or take your clothes too seriously. You’ll have more fun if you wear what makes you happy and confident!
This is my new favourite outfit! The skirt was part of a vintage style shirt dress I was making (named the @dollyparton dress by my customers!) - I was sewing it for our trip to Nashville, however the shape was just all wrong. This weekend I have converted the top part into a tie front shirt and the bottom into this cute button front midi skirt. I’ve teamed it with my new tshirt from the amazing @lilpopclothing ...make sure you head over and check out their statement tee collection, I’m already lusting after their peachy keen version in grey! . . . #SewCreative #SewingClass #altrincham #ootd
I have to admit...I have never been a big fan of regency dress. I feel like an empire waist has never looked good on my body shape and it has never really appealed to me. BUT. All these pictures from Jane Austen Fest have me drooling big time. I think it’s about time I gave this period another chance, non?
